Clear Data in All Browsers

This article explains how to clear cache, cookies, history and other private data in all (major) browsers. (Currently - 14) - Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Chromium, Pale Moon, SeaMonkey, Avant Browser, QupZilla, Midori, Arora, Wizo and Maxthon. The instructions work only on Windows but for most browsers will work on other operating systems. The techniques here will allow you to clear data manually. If you want to delete your browser private data using a program or an automation method, check this article.

1. Google Chrome
 
You will be able to clear: browsing history, downloads, cache, cookies, plug-in data, saved passwords, saved Autofill form data, data from hosted apps and deauthorize content licenses.

B. Paste this line in Google Chrome search bar: chrome://chrome/settings/clearBrowserData
C. A small window named "Clear browsing data" will open, select what type of data you want to delete and press
"Clear browsing data" button. (Don't forget to select the time range)

2. Mozilla Firefox
 
You will be able to clear: browsing, download, form and search history, cookies, cache, active logins, offline website data and site preferences.
 
A. Open Mozilla Firefox
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Clear Recent History" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C. A small window named "Clear Recent History" will open, click on "Details" to reveal more options. Select the data you want to delete and press "Clear Now" button. (Don't forget to select the time range)

3. Internet Explorer
 
You will be able to clear: preserve favorites website data, temporary Internet files, cookies, history, download history, form data, passwords and ActiveX filtering and tracking data protection.
 
A. Open Internet Explorer
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Delete Browsing History" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C. A window named "Delete Browsing History" will open. Select the data you want to delete and press "Delete" button.

4. Opera
 
You will be able to clear: session cookies, all cookies, password protected pages and data, entire cache, plug-in data, geolocation data, camera permissions, history of visited pages, email account passwords, password manager, persistent storage, all tabs.
 
A. Open Opera
B. Click on the first tab named "Opera". The tab will reveal a drop-down menu, from there choose "Settings" and select "Delete Private Data".
C. A window named "Delete Private Data" will open. Select "Detailed Options" (to expand the list of options) and choose the data you want to clear. Finally, press "Delete" button.

5. Safari
 
You will be able to: clear history, downloads window, reset top sites, location warnings and to remove all webpage preview images, website icons, saved names plus passwords, other AutoFill form text and all website data.
 
A. Open Safari
B. Click on Safari "General Settings Icon" (the last icon from top-right browser window). Locate and select "Reset Safari".
C. A window named "Are you sure you want to reset Safari?" will open. Select the data that you want to delete and press "Reset" button". (Tip: press on question mark and a help file will explain what each option means).

6. Chromium
 
You will be able to clear the same data found at Google Chrome.
 
A. Open Chromium
B. Paste this line in Chromium search bar: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
C. The window is identical with the one found at Google Chrome. Just select which data you want to clear (don't forget about the time) and when ready press "Clear browsing data".

7. Pale Moon
 
You will be able to clear the same data found at Mozilla Firefox
 
A. Open Pale Moon
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Clear Recent History" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C. The window is identical with the one found at Mozilla Firefox. Just select which data you want to clear (don't forget about the time). Click on "Details" to reveal more options. Select the data you want to delete and press "Clear Now" button.

8. SeaMonkey
 
You will be able to clear: cache, cookies, offline browsing data, authenticated session, saved passwords,  browsing, location bar, download, saved form and search history.
 
A. Open SeaMoneky
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Clear Private Data" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C. A window named "Clear Private Data" will open. Select the data you want to clear and click on "Clear Private Data Now" button.

9. Avant Browser
 
You will be able to clear the following records: typed web addresses, recent closed tabs, auto-complete web forms, passwords, cookies, history of visited web pages, temporary Internet files, website icons, search keywords, blocked ad list and blocked pop-up list.
 
A. Open Avant Browser
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Avant Browser Options".
C. A window named "Avant Browser Options" will open. Inside you will find a list with many features. Locate and select "Clear Records". Select which data you want to delete and when ready, press "Clear Checked Item(s) button.

10. QupZilla
 
You will be able to clear: history, web databases, local storage, cache, cookies and icons.
 
A. Open QupZilla
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Clear Recent History" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C. The window is almost identical with the one found at Mozilla Firefox and Pale Moon. Select which data you want to clear (don't forget about the time) and press "OK" button. (Tip: cookies from Adobe Flash Player can be managed from the blue link that will redirect you to Flash Player page).

11. Midori
 
You will be able to clear: last open tabs, history, saved logins and passwords, cookies and website data, web cache and website icons.
 
A. Open Midori
B. Locate and click on "Menu" icon (the last icon from top-right browser window). Select - "Clear Private Data".
C. A window named "Clear Private Data" will open. Choose which data you want to remove and when ready click on "Clear private data" button. Tip: If you select "Clear private data when quitting Midori", the browser will clear the data you selected each time when you close the browser.

12. Arora
 
You will be able to clear: website icons, cached web pages, cookies, search history, browsing and download history.
 
A. Open Arora
B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Clear Private Data" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C. A new window named "Clear Private Data" will open. Select which data you want to delete and when ready press "Clear Private Data" button.

13. Wyzo
 
You will be able to clear: site preferences, active logins, cache, cookies, forms plus search history, browsing and download history.

B. From program menu, locate and choose "Tools" tab - select - "Clear Recent History" (shortcut CTRL+Shift+Del).
C.  A small window named "Clear Recent History" will open, select what type of data you want to delete (press "Details" button for more options) and press "Clear now" button. (Don't forget to select the time range).

14. Maxthon
 
You will be able to clear: browser history, address bar history, last session, download history, cache files and cookies.
 
A. Open Maxthon
B. Look at the first tab (the blue smile) from the top upper-left corner and click on it. A window with several options will open. Locate and choose "Clear Browser History" (somewhere in the center).
C. A small window named "Clear History" will open. Select the data you want to delete and when ready press "Clear Now" button. Tip: You can select "Auto Clear" and each time when you close Maxthon, the data you selected will be deleted.
