Print screen button prt sc doesnt work on my laptop

I purchased my laptop 2 years ago and since then when I wanted to use the print screen function but it didn`t worked. So I said, it`s probably broken and that`s why it doesn`t work. It wasn`t a big problem for me because I usually used an additional USB keyboard and also a mouse. It made me feel more comfortable and the print screen function worked at the attached keyboard which made me think that probably that button doesn`t work or it requires a driver installation or something like that. Everything was working fine until my brother came to me and told me the same thing. The print screen button doesn`t work on his laptop either. That was really weird and I decided to investigate this hoping that I will find someone else with the same issue.

At my laptop I can see a button called Prt Sc. It`s actually a shortcut to ``Print Screen``. When I tried to press this button and then opened Paint application nothing happened. I tried to use the ``Paste`` feature but it didn`t worked.

I tried to look for more info on the Internet and someone was suggesting to use the ALT button. ALT+Prt Sc keyboard combination but it didn`t worked for me.

Someone else said that we should try the ``FN`` button plus Prt Sc. So pressing FN+Prt Sc actually worked for me. I was able to Paste that screenshot in Paint.

I hope you will find this information useful, I don`t know if it`s going to work for everyone but it definetely worked for me and my brother. He is using a HP laptop and I am using a Fujitsu so there are two different brands. As you can see it`s very easy to use the print screen button but if you don`t know how to do it, it can be very frustrating, especially when you need this feature.
